* I purchased this short audiobook from http://www.audible.com
It is rare that I find an author that I enjoy enough to seek out all of their other published works. Leigh Bardugo is just such an author.
Her debut novel, entitled “SHADOW AND BONE” was the first book in the Grisha Trilogy.
This is a short folk tale that is the companion to SHADOW AND BONE. Despite it’s short length it is an entertaining tale.
They say that girls should avoid the woods around Duva. They say that the woods eat girls who wander there. Is there a monster or a witch in the woods? You’ll be surprised and delighted to find out who is the culprit.
The narrator is the same one used in the Grisha trilogy which offers the listener a sense of continuity and she does a wonderful job.
I rate both the narration and the story as 5 out of 5 stars.
