This is the third book I have read from Elaine Bertolotti. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything she has written and this book is no exception.

The year is 1970 and Elaine’s adventure in Greece began as she enrolled in a course for the Greek language in the city of Athens.

She had been teaching in a Greek-American elementary school in Brooklyn and the Greek teachers there often spoke so enthusiastically about their native country that she decided she’d love to see it for herself.

Elaine found a friend willing to embark on this adventure with her. They learned the language by immersing themselves in the Athens culture.

The two young women met some wonderful people who took the time to help them explore the Athens.

The Greek islands that they visited captivated them and led them on interesting adventures.

Elaine’s writing style pulls in the reader and makes you feel like you were on the trip with her. Her love of food and for trying new things shines through on every page.

I rate this book as 5 out of 5 stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
