Rating: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As a Hockey Mom myself, it was very easy to relate to the subject matter of this book.

It is obvious that despite the fact that author, Julie Bertuzzi is married to NHL player Todd Bertuzzi she is not just a stuck-up rich girl. No one who wasn’t a Hockey Mom herself would be able to describe so succinctly the various types of Hockey Moms that exist.

The book is illustrated by Anthony Jenkins who has perfectly captured the style and idiosyncrasies of the different types of Hockey Moms. His illustrations make this book complete.

I laughed out loud a couple times while reading this book and even snorted a few times. I have met every single one of these “Hockey Moms” in the years that I have attended my son’s games.

Every hockey family needs to buy this book! I wonder, which type of Hockey Mom are you?

I rate this book as 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐

    • Hockey Mom’s are a huge thing here in Canada.
My youngest son (who turned 17 today) has played hockey for 11 years.
The Moms that attend the games and practices are CRAZY. In fact, sometimes they get downright violent.
I have heard grown women swearing at children and horrible parents berating their kids from the stands.
You should check this book out. It is a super-quick read, but it is also spot-on. It’s obvious to me that Julie Bertuzzi has spent lots of time at kid’s hockey games.

      • I guess every sport has it’s crazy parents. There is even a TV show called “Dance Moms” and I remember quite a few years back in Texas there was a Mom who tried to hire a hit man to kill her daughter’s cheerleading rival.
Then, of course, there is the famous figure skating scandal with Nancy Kerrigan.
People are CRAZY. Kids sports are supposed to be fun.
Oh well, I guess it takes all kinds of people to make up this crazy world of ours.
