SYNOPSIS: (with commentary)
Holly Berry is a fairy, but she isn’t like the other fairies. “Yes, she looked like the other fairies, cute and curvy, but as some of her irritatingly honest brethren mentioned, her attitude left a lot to be desired. Her most favoured reply to this helpful comment was to give them the finger. This was who she was, and if they didn’t like it, they could shove it where fairy lights didn’t twinkle.”
As soon as I read the above paragraph I knew that Holly was a character that I was going to like. Sugary, sweet characters seem so unrealistic and fake.
“Christmas fairies were apparently supposed to be loving, sweet and innocent, well the girls were anyway. The men were handsome and usually athletically muscular, although not intimidating. Both sexes were designed to be human fantasies…”
Sounds good to me! Where do I sign up for one of those handsome Christmas fairies for my own? Just kidding! But wow! What a great idea for an erotic holiday book series.
Holly gets transferred to the Adult Wish Fulfillment division where she fits in much better than she had before.
Kian is human. He’s focused on his career and since his relationships haven’t worked in the past, he has no desire to start a new one.
When Kian’s secretary (and close friend) makes a holiday wish for Kian, Holly is sent to fulfill it.
Will Holly shine in her new job? Or is she just too different from all the other fairies to grant Christmas wishes?
MY REVIEW:
This book is steamy with a capital “S”. It is 100% an adult book. Don’t let the holiday theme fool you, this book is serious erotica.
Even though this is erotica, there is also a story here and author, Emma Jaye does an outstanding job of character development.
I love the inner struggles that plague Holly, they make her seem much more believable. I also greatly enjoyed Kian’s character. When his history is revealed, it is easy to understand why he acts the way he does.
I don’t want to give away too much of the plot, but I also want to make sure that I do this book justice.
If you like erotica with strong female characters and plenty of steamy scenes, you will love HOLLY BERRY. In fact, I rate this book as 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I will be reading more books in the NAUGHTY OR NICE series in the future.
