In the interest of full disclosure I feel that I must mention that I read one of Kathy’s books previously and absolutely loved it. The title of that book was HARM and it was an amazing read and definitely worthy of a 5 out of 5 star rating. Because of how much I enjoyed her previous book, I was thrilled to receive a copy of THE ARIES APPOINTMENT from the author.
Four years ago, a baby girl was kidnapped from an open bedroom window. The police searched, the FBI investigated, but it seemed that baby Sierra had vanished into thin air.
Sierra’s parents are rich and at first everyone (including law enforcement) assumed that a ransom would be demanded. But no ransom was ever demanded and no one ever heard from the kidnappers again.
Ir is now four years later and Sierra’s mother, a once beautiful and vibrant young woman, has left guilt and grief overtake her entire existence.
Morgan Sterling is a a fourth generation astrologer who helps lost clients find their way. She sees astrology as a science and is not a psychic.
Daniel Kane is a police detective, who has vowed to solve the case. He is determined to succeed where even the full resources of the FBI have failed. If that means putting aside his skepticism and consulting an astrologer, well then, so be it.
The unlikely pair track a cold trail where nothing is as it seems, and facts are muddied by rumors, lies and the passage of time.
Can they solve the case? Can they even get along long enough to follow the clues?
Both Daniel and Morgan have dark secrets in their pasts and this case will force them both to confront their own demons.

Not only was this book a terrific read, full of twists and turns, but it also taught me things I had never known.
Before reading this book I had absolutely no idea what astrology entailed. Obviously I had heard of astrology prior to reading this book, but I knew nothing about the how or the why of this science. I found the details absolutely fascinating and if Morgan Sterling lived close to me I would definitely be making an appointment to see her.

Kathy T. Kale is an award-winning author as well as a member of the ‘Mystery Writers of America’. Kathy is a certified professional astrologer who has experience with counseling, lecturing and teaching astrology classes.
She has a PhD in toxicology and did her post-doctoral work in infectious immunology. Kathy lived in Africa for more than ten years and has worked as freelance science writer and editor.
